About the USHCC


 
 

Founded in 1979, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is the largest Hispanic business organization in the United States. Through strategic programming and partnerships, it actively promotes the economic growth, development, and interests of America’s 5 million Hispanic-owned businesses that combined, contribute over $800 billion to the American economy every year.  

“Hispanic Americans are one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial groups in the country. These businesses are competitive, add value, are cost efficient, and are prepared to elevate their relationship with America’s Fortune 1000 companies,” states Ramiro A. Cavazos, President & CEO, USHCC.  

The USHCC also serves as a platform for a nationwide network of over 260 local Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, 5M+ Hispanic Business Enterprises. Amidst the growing diversity in communities across the nation, the face of business in America is changing, with minorities driving entrepreneurial pursuits and building innovative businesses across American neighborhoods. Seventy percent of the U.S. economy is driven by consumer spending, and Latino consumers accounts for an estimated $2.6 trillion in the country’s annual GDP. The USHCC is a key partner for any type of business looking to reach the new American consumer.   

The USHCC’s works to lead the advancement of Hispanic businesses that are driving the American economy through bipartisan support. The Chamber has focused its advocacy on behalf of Hispanic-owned businesses, Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and Corporate Partner Members guided by our “Three C’s”:    

∙        Capital – Expanding equitable access to capital through traditional and innovative partnerships,  

∙        Capacity – Building capacity through programming, training, and new grant investments, and  

∙        Connections – Establishing connections through matchmaking, procurement, and advocacy.  

Currently, Ramiro Cavazos is the President and CEO of the USHCC, with Alice Rodriguez as the Chairwoman.
